Dog rescuers are gifts sent from above. They are the ones who go after dogs who needed their help the most. While sometimes their work often gets shrugged off, rescuers do wonders in the lives of the dogs they rescue. If not always, these rescuers could also pull off surprises whenever they go on a rescue mission.
This is what happened to the rescuers from the Hope for Paws when they received a call that asked them to save a dog hiding in the bushes. Reports say the pooch was in the bushes for more than five days. There was no food or water near him.
But what made the mission extraordinary is the dog’s health condition. The adorable white dog is partially blind, so the rescuers had to be creative with their rescue operation. As the rescuers arrived on the scene, they immediately noticed the pooch curled up. One of the rescuers volunteered that he would be the one who will deal with the pooch.
He walked gently towards the direction of the pooch and lured him with some food. At first, the dog showed signs of hostility but eventually gave in. Although the dog showed aggression, the rescuer was adamant about saving him. When the dog realized that the man was harmless, the white dog then walked towards the man.
From here, the rescuers discovered that the dog is partially blind. They then brought the pooch to the animal shelter and named him Dolittle.
After that, the rescuers began a campaign to save the dog’s vision. They asked help from well-meaning individuals, and soon enough, they were able to raise enough money. Dolittle underwent minor surgery to save what little eyesight he has. Good thing, the operation went well, and the pooch could see again.
