We’ve all been there. Mom buys something for us, but it’s not what we want. Sometimes it’s the wrong size, sometimes it’s a different color, and sometimes it’s far from what we wanted to get. Nonetheless, we opt not to mention anything and pretend we’re totally fine with what was given, so we don’t hurt her.
Moms work so hard to provide for their children. They’re willing to do everything they can to make their kids happy, even if it means staying at the office to work for an extra hour or two. Kids are aware of this; that’s why they try their best to show their appreciation to their mothers. Even if, sometimes, they have to play pretend.

The tiny bed
Such is the case of Kenny, the dog of Twitter user, @paetonmathes. She wanted to make the pooch happy by buying a bed for him. Unfortunately, the bed was a couple of sizes too small for the doggo. Knowing how much his mom’s effort put into buying that bed, Kenny pretended that he was totally fine with it.
He tried his best to show how grateful he was by posing with his bed. The bed looked like a doormat next to him, but he didn’t mind. What mattered more to him then was making his mom happy.
The thought matters more than the gift
Kenny’s human sister shared his photos on Twitter. People found it hilarious and shared the photo more than 60,000 times. It also received likes from over 135,000 people. Some expressed concern and sent bigger beds for the pooch. He couldn’t hide how happy he was to have a bed that could fit his whole body.
The Golden Retriever’s reaction to his tiny bed is a reminder that we should always be grateful when we receive gifts. Remember, it’s the thought that matters!
