They call her Subway Sally
A dog kept on visiting a Subway shop in Portales, New Mexico. For a year, he would visit the shop daily. That’s why the staff called the dog Subway Sally.
One time, an employee of the restaurant, Giovanni Luhman, filmed the dog. Here, Sally was seen standing right outside the door of the shop. She was waiting there quite patiently for the food that she knows the staff would feed her.
Giovanni said when he posted the clip on TikTok that Subway Sally became a regular visitor to the shop. He posted it at night, and upon waking up the following day, he was surprised to see that the video clip became viral. It has been watched over 10 million times. It has also brought in more customers to the Subway shop because of the dog.
Helping Achieving Their Dreams
The management of that Subway store also posted on Twitter about Subway Sally and said that the dog has been helping them achieve their dreams.
Giovanni was happy that the post had gone viral and wanted to share more about Subway Sally. He said he would record more videos and share them.
Giovanni had considered taking Subway Sally home to be a part of the family but already having cats for pets would have caused a problem.
He also said that he thought of bringing the dog to a shelter, but he knew that it would not be right because the shelter had a policy that unadopted animals would be put down.
Subway Sally may not know it but she has got a lot of fans on the internet.
Luhman also started to have a food drive for animals because of the response he got from posting Subway Sally’s video. He said that he would use any donations to help families who have pets but are unable to feed them right. There are plenty of dogs and animals who have owners but are not fed properly because of financial constraints. The sad truth is they end up scouring the streets for food. Bringing awareness is one of the best things we can do to help contribute to help these dogs in need.
