Golden retriever is a household name among dog lovers. These gentle goldies can weigh up to 30 kg, standing at the height of 55 to 60 cm. They are an active and all-around kind of dog. Swimming, running, and rock climbing are a few of the activities they can participate in without breaking a sweat. However, there is one thing that a goldie, like most dogs, would cower from. Thunderstorms!
The loud clap of thunder and it’s echoing boom that rings through the sky would usually catch us by surprise. Instinctively we would cover our ears, but as for our terrified furry friends, they would frantically run around looking for an escape from the loud sound. Of course, we would try to comfort them and look for ways to calm them down. That is exactly what one toddler does whenever his dog gets scared by the thunder. He takes it upon himself to comfort his dog during this scary ordeal!
The toddler was way smaller than the golden retriever and weighed much less, but for this dog, his little human was his big hero. The sweet toddler, without any doubt in his mind, always comes to the dog’s aid. Patting the dog’s back and even accompanying him between the space of the washer and the dryer where he hides from the thunder. Coupled with encouraging words of gibberish baby talk that the goldie may not understand, but it undoubtedly served its purpose of reassurance.
The sweet gesture of the toddler was quickly recorded by the toddler’s parents and has gone viral in no time. The video was shared hundreds of times, and the warm comments of amused viewers just kept coming. The overflowing adoration and heart emojis in the comment section proves that the touching and the heartwarming bond between the toddler and the goldie reached the hearts of the viewers.
A thunderclap may be loud and terrifying, but the warm caress of the toddler and his embrace is all this goldie needed to feel better. Without a doubt, this furry goldie has given much comfort to his human, and now this toddler knows it’s his turn to return the favor. This is a cute reminder that just as we receive love and comfort from our dogs, we too can give comfort to them when they’re at their lowest.
This little guy comforting his buddy during a thunderstorm is the best thing you'll see today 💕💕💕
