At one point in your life, your mom and dad might have sent you on a timeout. Many may say that timeouts have become part of their childhood. Although these are a form of child discipline, something cute and unexpected may come out of them.
Your best friend will not allow you to go to a timeout on your own. This is what a dog proved by joining his three-year-old best friend when the latter went to timeout. And their picture together became viral on Facebook.
That was really cute! This was surely the dog’s means to cheer up the kid.
The kid and the dog’s timeout
Jillian Smith, a mom from Ohio, just gave Peyton, her son, two options after the boy had a fight with his big sister. Peyton could either go to his room or go to a timeout.
The youngster, on the other hand, decided to go for the second option. But the punishment suddenly became an adorable moment when Dash went to join him. Dash was the family’s English Mastiff pup and Peyton’s best friend.
As Peyton leaned his head against the wall, he kept the pup close to him. He had his hand on the dog’s ear as they both stayed in the same spot. Jillian decided to capture the best friends’ cute moment.
Jillian said that seeing the two in timeout was adorable and that it showed their relationship together. It was like they were sidekicks or two peas in a pod.
A moment that resonated with many people
Jillian uploaded the picture of Peyton and Dash on Facebook, where it had gone viral. It received more than 48,000 shares and thousands of comments.
It just goes to show that many people have found the photo either cute or relatable. Jill said that she was still in shock that the picture went viral and how much people were enjoying it, especially those from many different countries. She added that she felt grateful that a classic childhood moment had struck a chord with people.
